The first electromechanical lock CONSTRUCT® e-GPL for AUDI Q7 has been developed

We inform our professional partners that in the line of electromechanical anti-theft devices by Czech company CONSTRUCT came up the new electromechanical lock CONSTRUCT® e-GPL (Gas Pedal Lock) – lock of the gas pedal with electric drive.

CONSTRUCT® e-GPL lock is designed especially for those vehicles, where the decision to block the selector lever to protect against theft - is technically impossible. The first mechanical pedal gas locks CONSTRUCT® GPL have appeared for the popular SUV models of LAND ROVER, which due to the use of special electronic "washers" to switch between the transmission functions, locking of the selector lever was impossible.

New Q7 car became the first representative of the German mark AUDI, for which it has been developed the electromechanical gas pedal lock CONSTRUCT® e-GPL. This anti-theft lock is installed into the mounting points using shear bolts. The system id placed for secure keeping after turning off the ignition and blocks the gas pedal by pressing. The opening of the lock is done by the contactless chip that must be applied to a secret location in the car where there is a special reader. The installed locking gas pedal CONSTRUCT® e-GPL is invisible in the interior of the car and do not violate the ergonomics of the cabin.

Due to the fact that the AUDI company plans to use the new technology of "joystick" to switch the selector lever in new cars in the future, the range of these types of locks will be gradually expanded. Follow our news!
