Quality of ABLOY® products for fire doors is validated by European standards

Quality of Finnish company ABLOY® products and its suitability for use on fire and smoke-proof doors have confirmed by the Declaration of Performance - the document of the European Union in a new form.

In accordance with the Declaration of Performance range of ABLOY® products: mechanical and electromechanical locks (including EL518, EL 560, EL 561, EL460, EL461, etc.), as well as door closers (DC-240, DC-247, DC-330, DC-250), furniture (INOXI, POLAR, etc.) - can be used in fire doors with fire resistance limit to 60 (EI60) or 120 (EI120) minutes. More detailed information on the possibilities of ABLOY® products use in fire doors and fire resistance limit is contained directly in the Declaration of Performance.

Let us remember that the notion of EC Declaration of Conformity for building materials was abolished in 2013, instead the concept of Declaration of Performance was introduced, which is a key document in the European regulatory system regarding construction products. Declaration of Performance provides information about the main characteristics of the products, which they are obliged to comply, according to the European Norms (EN) or European Technical Assessments (ETA). Drafting of this document is mandatory when the CE marking is applying for construction products. Document is produced exclusively by the manufacturer, no matter where it is located: in the European Union or in a third country, but on the background of the permanent production control systems induction, accredited by European institutions.
