MUL-T-LOCK® CAM 19 lock received an American certification

A lock for equipment MUL-T-LOCK® CAM 19 was approved by UL (Underwriters Laboratories). It is an American independent agency, that tests and certifies products for over a century. UL, a leading certification ageny in the world, showed that MUL-T-LOCK® CAM 19 lock corresponds to the level of secrecy and burglary, certain American standard UL 437 "Key locks". From now on, this will be indicated by a special sign on the product's packaging.

Underwriters Laboratories has tested the mortise lock with captive bolt MULT-LOCK® CAM 19, using the following tools: a hammer weighing up to 1.36 kg, a chisel and a screwdriver with length up to 380 mm, pliers, wheel wrench, hacksaw, hand tools (drill) with high-speed drills and maximum revolutions 1900 r.p.m.

Test results showed that the Israel MUL-T-LOCK® CAM 19 lock have withstanded at least 10 minutes to unlocking by a passkey and by impressions method (extruding), and also not less than 5 minutes - destrictive inbreak: unscrewing, drilling, sawing, stretching and knocking. This is the limit at which the attackers usually give up trying to break the " toughie" in order not to attract attention, and go looking for more easy money.

MUL-T-LOCK® CAM 19 - one of the most popular locks for equipment and metal cabinets, such as paying terminals, ATMs, user lockers in shopping malls, lockers for clothes, electrical distribution box, coffee machines and other vending equipment. The lock is made of brass and captive bolt – from steel, in satin nickel treatment. MUL-T-LOCK® CAM 19 can be equipped with MUL-T-LOCK® Classic or MUL-T-LOCK® Interactive+ lock cylinder, on which bases "One key" and "Master Key" systems could be build. High security of the lock (over 1.2 million combinations of cylinder and key MUL-T-LOCK® Classic and more than 168 million in the MUL-T-LOCK® Interactive+) – is a guarantee of safe protection against attempts to open the passkeys.
