ROSSLARE® network controllers 2in1: ACS and functions of the security system
If the company with the access control system (ACS) needs not only to open the doors of the premises with the help of electronic cards, but also to set the additional options, such as logging the work time of employees or integration of the video monitoring system, you should pay attention to the network controllers from the Israeli ROSSLARE® company.

The main difference of these controllers is that they can be combined into a general network and provide the construction of access control system on the objects with almost any number of passage points. ACS network controller operates under the special software, installed on a personal computer. Thus, the system allows to flexibly manage the access rights of users, including the schedule, to get information about all the events in the system in real time, to remotely control the door, to recognize the place of the employees, to keep records of working hours and more. All ROSSLARE® network controllers work in online mode. However, even at full failure of power and connection with the PC, in the energy-independent memory of the controller is holded a copy of the database of network users and the device starts to work autonomously. Event data in this respect is accumulated in the memory of the controller, and with the reestablishment of communication with the PC, is automatically transferred to the database.

Having a similar standard functionality, ROSSLARE® network controllers of various models differ in the number of supported access points, the volume of the users’ database and the volume of events buffer. This allows you to optimize the hardware component of the system in accordance with the characteristics of the object and the needs of the customers. Thus, ROSSLARE® network controllers are divided into

    1. Compact controllers (AC-115 model), which supports a network of up to 8 controllers, has a volume database for 2400 users and a buffer for 2000 events.

    2. Many-doors controllers (AC-215, AC-225, AC-425 models), which, depending on the model, can control up to 8184 doors with the total number of users up to 30 thousand, and the buffer memory for up to 20000 events.

    3. Controller with the support of video monitoring and video recording (AC-525 model). It makes it easy to combine the ACS solution with the CCTV. Allows you to transmit the live images and to record it on a local USB-drive for later viewing. The controller supports up to 4 doors, two analog PTZ-cameras and two audio channels.

ROSSLARE® network controllers have different interfaces for the connection to the network. For example, the classic RS-485, which allows connecting on a line with the length of up to 1200 meters up to 32 controllers in a general subnet and will suit the small and medium enterprises with a small number of employees. Another option – is a connection via Ethernet (AC-215ІR, AC-225ІR, 425ІR AC, AC-525 controllers). This decision will be beneficial for businesses with many employees and visitors. Ethernet provides an easy integration of controllers in the information infrastructure of the enterprise without laying the additional lines of communication, which is thus also as cost-effective solution.

Therefore, ROSSLARE® network controllers, except the function of access control system, can also perform the functions of protection and video monitoring of premises and also the control of personnel and working time tracking, which can significantly reduce the costs and time on the installation of the certain security systems.
