  DiSec escutcheons - sublime style from Italy

  

  Today, the protective escutcheon of the cylinder plays an important role both in security and design of entrance doors. Customers nowadays understand the need to protect the cylinder from external attacks, while decorative shields so not provide any protection.   The main purpose of the escutcheon is to protect. That is why DiSec manufacturer focuses on the protective properties of the product, so that each product has a number of engineering solutions designed to protect the door from different ways of breaking-in.

  

  A characteristic feature of DiSec Sferik protective escutcheons is a spherical shape of the body, which eliminates the breaking with a tube. The range of SPV Company Ltd. includes all escutcheons of the Sferik series. The second special feature of all DiSec escutcheons is that they are mortise, which means they are not set on the door leaf, instead the DiSec escutcheons are installed directly into lock’s body. The protective escutcheon is mounted from the inside with massive M6 bolts, which pass through the lock body and create a monolithic structure within the leaf. Also the outside of escutcheon has a washer that rotates and protects the cylinder against drilling, which is quite a common way of breaking-in.
   
  Depending on a model, DiSec escutcheons have additional solutions: carbide rods, balls and a ribbed surface of the body from drilling and the massive continuous ring around the body - from hacking.
  
  DiSec escutcheon will favorably complement the design of the entrance doors, because Italians are paying great attention to design. The design of these protective escutcheons consists of the decorative moldings on the protective body of the escutcheon in different treatments and of the ring that is framing the protective body.

  An important element that often plays together with an escutcheon is cylinder’s tumbturn. Tumbturns to Mul-T-Lock and Abloy cylinders have a large palette of treatments to combine them with the color of the escutcheon.
